A Quick Look At Getting A Brighter Smile.
Your smile communicates a lot about how you feel about yourself. Even a minor flaw in your smile can keep you from feeling your best about the way you look. In the past, we had a few options to improve teeth that were chipped, stained, or crooked. However, now a wide range of cosmetic dental techniques can benefit almost any smile.
Cosmetic dentistry is a blending of art and science. With a focus on esthetic results and using a variety of the latest restorative techniques and materials, we can enhance your smile to give it a more pleasing appearance.
- Some conditions that may be helped by cosmetic dentistry
- Diastema (spaces between the teeth)
- Broken or chipped teeth
- Unsightly, stained or washed-out fillings
- Cracked or leaking fillings
- Permanently stained or discolored teeth
- Crooked or poorly shaped teeth
Dental Implants
Dental implants may be the answer if you're looking for an attractive, comfortable, and permanent replacement for missing teeth.
Dental implants have helped hundreds of thousands of people regain the function and confidence they once took for granted. Whether you're missing a single tooth or require a complete set of teeth, you owe it to yourself to talk with your dentist about the many benefits that dental implants can offer.
What is a dental implant?
Think of dental implants as metal anchors, usually made of titanium, that are surgically placed into the jawbone to hold permanent replacement teeth or dentures Through a process call “osteointegration,” the jawbone actually attaches itself to the implant over time, providing tremendous stability. Once the jawbone has firmly healed around the implant, a small post is attached to each implant. The post protrudes through the gumline and serves as an anchor for the replacement tooth. After your gums have healed, the replacement teeth or dentures are securely attached to the posts.
Drs. Weber, Otto & Kotecki are pleased to offer dental implants to patients who are good candidates for this exciting procedure.
Dental Veneers
Even a subtle change in your smile can make a dramatic difference in the way you look and feel and on your social outlook! Dental veneers are an excellent cosmetic remedy for a variety of dental conditions that affect the appearance of the front teeth. Durable and color-stable, veneers are, in many cases, the perfect way to restore the natural function and beauty of your teeth, so you can smile with confidence!
Veneers, usually fabricated from porcelain, are a thin, semi-translucent “shell,” custom made to fit precisely over an existing tooth. They are permanently bonded, held in place by a special resin that adheres the back of the veneer to the front of the tooth. The finished result is extremely strong and durable. Though veneers are not suitable for every patient, they are a cosmetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions affecting the front teeth, including:
- Closing diastemas (spaces between the teeth)
- Restoring broken or chipped teeth
- Covering unsightly, stained or washed-out fillings
- Whitening permanently stained or discolored teeth
- Correcting uneven or crooked teeth
The decision to enhance your smile with porcelain veneers is a personal one. Even a subtle change in your smile can make an exceptional difference in the way you look and feel and on your social outlook. There's no question that a beautiful smile goes a long way toward improving your self confidence in both personal and professional circles.
Take a moment to evaluate the appearance of your teeth. If you're not completely happy with what you see, ask Drs. Weber, Otto & Kotecki what options we can recommend for a more satisfying smile. We'll be glad to show you how veneers or other restorative techniques fit into your total oral health program.

Tooth Whitening
Do you wish you had whiter teeth? Thanks to new materials and technology, you can have a whiter, brighter smile!
Ever notice how some people can practically light up a room with their bright, beautiful smiles? A natural-looking, sparkling white smile can be yours with a safe, painless and effective professional tooth-whitening procedure---and a little help from Drs. Weber, Otto & Kotecki!
Tooth Whitening is a bleaching process that reverses discolorations of enamel (the outside layer of tooth structure) to create a whiter, brighter appearance. No natural tooth structure is lost, and no anesthetic is required.
For optimal results we recommend a custom approach. An impression is made of your teeth and then a custom tray is fabricated to fit your mouth. A qualified team member will train you to place the bleaching agent. These trays must be worn for a period of time. It may be while you're working around the house or even while sleeping, whenever it's most convenient for you. Another option we offer is Professional Strength Whitestripes. This option may be more affordable initially but will take a longer period of time to achieve the same result. It is an excellent product that can only be provided by a licensed dentist. It is important that you follow our recommendations. Drs. Weber, Otto & Kotecki want to be sure you receive the best and safest whitening treatment available.
Advances in dentistry have made it easier than ever to help you get the whiter, brighter smile you've always wanted. If you have any further questions about tooth whitening, please ask us! Those patients in our practice who have undergone cosmetic dental whitening treatment not only have acquired a more pleasing smile, but have experienced enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence. You can, too!
Crowns & Bridges
Crown and bridge treatment will restore lost teeth, support remaining teeth and help you maintain optimum dental health.
If you're faced with tooth loss, crown and bridge treatment may be the right restorative option for you. This long-term solution can help prevent the cycle of problems that can occur when just one tooth is missing, such as shifting of the remaining teeth, decay, periodontal disease and bone loss.
What is a crown?
A crown-sometimes called a “cap” –is a tooth-like covering placed over a carefully prepared existing tooth. Used to strengthen, restore or improve the appearance of your natural tooth, a crown is placed on an individual tooth much like a thimble over your finger.
What is a bridge?
A bridge is a custom device anchored to neighboring teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the missing one must be prepared as crowns to serve as abutments to hold the prosthetic (replacement) teeth in place. Crowns and bridges are most often made from superior materials such as semiprecious or precious metals, porcelain or a combination of metal fused to porcelain. Both appearance and function are considered when selecting the material most suitable for you.
Drs. Weber, Otto & Kotecki would be happy to answer any questions you may have throughout your crown and bridge treatment. During the process we will do everything we can to ensure your comfort. Our goal is to help you to preserve your smile for a lifetime.
Composite Bonding
A composite resin filling may be used when only a small amount of tooth structure needs replacement. Composite bonding is one of the most conservative, versatile and affordable ways to aesthetically restore a multitude of cosmetic problems.
To begin a bonding procedure, we treat the tooth with a special enamel conditioner to roughen the enamel surface and allow the bonding material to adhere. A composite resin is then applied and shaped to match the contour of your natural tooth. The surface of the composite is then restored to the tooth's natural shape and polished to achieve a natural luster and appearance.
Composite bonding is wonderful option that can make a big impact on your smile! Drs. Weber & Otto would love to evaluate your smile to see if you could benefit from this procedure.
Full & Partial Dentures
Whether you are missing some of all of your natural teeth, you can derive many benefits from replacing them with full or partial dentures. Replacement teeth help fill out your smile by giving support to the cheeks and lips. Replacement teeth create a more youthful, vibrant appearance by holding up facial muscles and aiding in speaking, chewing, swallowing and smiling.
Dentures aren't what they used to be. New advances in dentistry enable us to improve the fit, comfort and appearance of dentures.
Using the latest, most advanced techniques to assure comfortable fit and natural appearance, we will review your health history, make a thorough oral examination and take proper records and measurements before prescribing your prosthesis. We work only with the most reputable laboratories trained to fashion custom teeth to complement your facial features and lifestyle. Beware of tooth replacements offered at a substantially reduced fee; as with anything else, you get what you pay for.
Drs. Weber, Otto & Kotecki are committed to providing you with excellence in dental care at reasonable fees. We want to help you to maintain optimal chewing function and a pleasing smile for a lifetime. We'd love to talk with you about it!
